The Pajaro Valley Register-Pajaronian, CA, has a follow up article on the "Families for Peace" humanitarian mission, of which family members of Marines killed in Iraq and other activists raised $150,000 in cash and $500,000 in medical supplies for refugees of the November assault on Fallujah. One of the delegates of the 10-day trip to Jordan, Amalia Avila, is the mother of 2/5 Marine Lance Cpl. Victor Gonzalez, who was killed in Ramadi on 10.13.2004. The group met with reporters, aid groups, and refugees who had crossed the border. The article contains several anecdotes from the trip.
